  2. Wholistic Wellness Therapy: Nelson Therapy and Consulting offers a culturally grounded and comprehensive therapeutic approach that blends Indigenous and Western healing practices to support the unique needs of children and youth. Our Wholistic Wellness Therapy emphasizes building positive, supportive relationships and incorporates therapeutic activities such as land-based education, cultural practices, play, and Indigenous expressive arts.

Our therapists work with youth for a minimum of 10 hours per month, providing a diverse range of skills and support, including art, athletics, social coaching, crisis intervention, group activities, cultural connection, assistance for survivors of sexual exploitation, and fostering Indigenous knowledge and spirituality.

At Nelson Therapy, we engage Wholistic Wellness Therapists who bring diverse expertise and backgrounds from the social services field. We honor the value of both formal education and lived experience. Our therapists possess varying levels of proficiency in Western mental health practices and traditional Indigenous cultural knowledge, ensuring a holistic, culturally respectful, and community-focused approach to healing.

This practice is designed to respect and reflect Indigenous traditions, fostering connection, growth, and well-being through culturally appropriate and meaningful therapeutic methods.
